Cal Ruddy is an award winning and multiple award nominated Americana influenced Singer/Songwriter based in New Brighton. Cal Ruddy has been playing shows across the Merseyside area and beyond over the past 10+ years and has built up a large following of loyal supporters.

Cal took a trip of a lifetime to the home of country music, Nashville, Tennessee in September 2017  to begin work on his debut album and worked alongside top songwriters and producers, including Blue Miller (producer to Bob Sege and India Arie to name a few) and Allen Palmer, CEO of Palmer Global Ink. When Cal returned he recorded these songs in Liverpool with Steve Powell (producer to Mick Head, Edgar Jones & The Stairs). Cal won the award for Best Live Entertainer recognising his dynamic and energetic live show and stage presence at The 2019 Liverpool Lifestyle Awards and was a finalist for best social media personality at the 2020 Liverpool Lifestyle Awards. Cal has also been nominated for Best Musician at the 2022 Liverpool Lifestyle Awards. In 2024 Cal played at International Pop Overthrow Festival in Stockholm, Sweden and was successful in auditioning for a master’s degree in Songwriting at ICMP in London. Cal returned to Nashville in March 2025 on a second successful songwriting trip with plans to release new music later in 2025.

He has used his life experiences with autism, ADHD, anxiety and depression to inspire others and has raised money and awareness for Wirral CAMHs, Autism Together and various other charities and causes over the years.
