Shadow Puppet Courtroom is the new solo project from Stephen McGinty, the frontman from alternative rock band Branch To Root, who are currently on hiatus. Over the years, he has honed his skills as a performer and songwriter, channelling this into his new project.

He released his debut single “About You” earlier this year, which is available to listen to on Spotify here. This new project takes a softer approach than his previous work but still exhibits his signature reflective and honest songwriting. Stephen draws on his life experiences to craft his music and showcases lyrical introspection, emotional depth and atmospheric arrangements.

He will be playing his original music which pays homage to genres such as emo and alternative rock. If you’re a fan of bands like Death Cab for Cutie or Brand New, then this one’s for you.
